My first time

OK this is kind of weird my first time blogging! So i feel like..... where do you start?  Life is so full of surprises and my life has been a whirlwind of ups and downs. So I will just begin by saying I originally wanted to start this for my daughter Taylor and I to share. Taylor is going to be 12 in two weeks and she is going to be blogging on here with me. She is my first born baby and I adore her and love her to bits and pieces. She is an amazing kid with the biggest heart! Recently Taylor taught me how to crochet, I have been wanting to learn after watching her bust out tons of hats and scarves. Bless her heart she tried to teach me 3 years ago and I about threw the hooks across the room. I did not have the patience for it I am fast paced and love instant gratification. Crocheting is slow and you may not see your result for days or weeks. So over the past 3 years I have been watching this little girl sit on the couch and take her time crocheting for hours. I started to say to myself she looks so calm and relaxed and she is creating a magnificent masterpiece. I said this is it I'm going to learn this time come hell or high water!
After my brother passed away 3 years ago I have a new sense of life, nothing is going to hold me back from living this life to the fullest. For those of you that really know me,  know I am not one to jump into things slowly I am all or nothing. So I said to my sweet Taylor can you teach me again how to crochet? Her response was quite hysterical "last time you about threw the hooks across the room mommy" I said I know, but I feel ready now and this is something i have wanted to learn,  i promise I will be patient. I felt like i was now her child! Here i am telling my daughter this when she learned by watching YOUTUBE. I have no shame,  lets go get all the supplies I need and get started on this new adventure.
On our way to Joann's Taylor was talking to me about being patient with it and not to worry she will help me out with anything! "So mom what to you want to try to make?" "A scarf would be an easy start mom." My response did not shock me cause like I said before all or nothing. No Taylor we are making a huge blanket even better yet a Christmas blanket! I know it will take a long time but why start small when you can go big. I proceeded to tell her how special this will be, we can do it together  then when you are older you can do the same if you have a daughter. She was thrilled loved the idea, a we had a blast picking out our Christmas colors for the blanket.
Yes friends, I learned, I was patient as ever and picked it up in no time. There were a few hiccups but Taylor was so amazing and patient with me. I stopped and really thanked the Lord above for giving me such a beautiful gift, this composed gentle human being that is my daughter. We are still working on our blanket and hope to have it done by thanksgiving.

This is a scarf I am starting on my own :)
